Hi Debbie, this is Doktor J here, I have just finished watching your complete series of the Corn Snake. Thank you for the series, It is the best that I have seen, I too in the fiture would like to have a pet snake, so to see what care is involved was fantastic!!..I see at the end their is a comment by some Rspca inspector??....I would not take any notice of his comments as I have seen this type before, and he is only adding his comments to feed his own ego'...I get this from people all the time..Once again my heart felt thanks Debbie, Cheers Doc J, Gold Coast, Qld, Australia

Hi my name is Sarah and I’m coming to you from Petland in Pinborough, Pines, Florida today and I am going to speak with you today about how to buy a pet bird. There are several things to consider when you are looking into buying or adopting a new bird. One of the things would be is if a bird is truly the right pet for you. A bird should never ever be purchased or adopted on an impulse. Birds require a lot more care and attention than most people think and therefore, you never want to have yourself in a situation of buying an animal on an impulse and finding later that that truly is not the pet for you. You should consider if you really do look into getting a bird and you really think that a bird is the pet for you, you should do some research on the different species of birds that are available as pets to find one that you think would go best with your personality and household. Some birds are much more low maintenance. They require less interaction with you and the rest of the family, whereas some birds require much more interaction with you and the family. Some of the smaller birds such as budgies, cockatiels, and conures, more require a moderate amount of interaction. Some larger birds, such as macaws, like the one we have here today, cockatoos, and amazons require much more interaction with the family. It is important to very thoroughly consider the amount of interaction that you will be having with this pet before buying or adopting any bird. One thing that you can do if you are considering getting a bird and you are not sure which is the right bird for you, is to buy a bird book. Most bird books will have different profiles of different species, different personality traits. It will give you a lot of information on owning a bird before you actually decide to get a bird. Something else you can do is contact a qualified avian veterinarian in your area and he or she may be able to counsel you on what bird is the right kind of bird for you.
