"This is a little demonstration on how to trim the nails on a kitty. And, we do this so that the owner's can trim them at home. But, again this is a little demonstration. We especially like to do it first when the kittens are this age in the hospital. Because, if you do catch one short then the kitties don't trust you from the rest of their lives. So, the little nails come out like this when you squeeze on them. You can see the little nail comes out just when you squeeze on it. You just take a little bit off each one of them. You squeeze on the top part of them and the nail comes out. And, you just take a little bit. Kitty cat nails are pretty long and hooked. And, this cat has already had his done once. So, he's kind of a little nervous about me doing them. But, you go through and you do each one just like this. And, kitty cats have four little toes and one little thumb that's up over this area. And, so you get that one like that. And, then they have the back legs that don't have that little thumb on it. And, you can just take a little bit off of each one just like this. Not very much to take off of these. Because, he's already had them done once. Ok kitty, we're not hurting you. I always make it look so easy, because I do it all the time."
