" Hi! I am Dr. Adrienne Mulligan and on behalf of expertvillage.com we are going to talk a little bit about putting your cat into a car in a crate and securing the crate properly so that it does not roll around like a barrel going over the Niagara because this can certainly happen. If you place your cat in the seat, you can probably use a seatbelt to rig around the crate, may be even going to the handle or around depending on the type of seatbelt you have and secure it so that it is sitting in the seat and held in there. Now if you are putting them in the back of your car like a forerunner where you have got, kind of your back area, all open then that is where they really can go rolling around and so it is a good idea to put them in and block them with things. There is no real good way because the cat is going to move back and forth in its crate. He is going to get the crate imbalanced. So you really need to balance it and secure it there so that could just take some tricks depending on your vehicle and what kind of hooks and things you might be able to do and you might be able to use the bungee type cords to do that but you really want to secure it into your car.
