"Hi I’m Dr. Adrienne Mulligan on behalf of Expert Village.com and the most important parts about kitty housing are going to involve a place to sleep, a place to eat and have good fresh water, a place to go to the bathroom and a way to keep that clean. If you have outdoor cats, be sure that they have the same types of things and to provide with them as much shelter as you can and to remember cats are going to live a lot longer if they live indoors than if they live outdoors. If they live outdoors, they should never be declawed because they can’t protect them selves or get away from wild animals as easily. So indoor cats are safest and indoor cats are very active. They need to be active to stay slim and healthy and so you want to provide them with lots of play toys, lots of places to hide and play with each other if you have more than one and interact with you if they are the only one. So your cat’s habitat should provide all those things and stimulation for them and places to be cats and, the thing they do best which is to sleep. "
