Today we are going to talk a little bit about your cat’s potty room. The bathroom for your cat you might want to place as far away from where you have to live as possible. So it’s nice to find a place in your home that if there are any odors that you don’t have to deal with them very much. But there are a lot of new litters and different ways to keep the odor down so it is always not that big of a deal. There are a lot of different types of litter boxes and I have a couple of them here to show you. This litter box can serve two purposes. You can either have it as a regular pan and you are going to put your litter in there. There are lots of different types of litter which we will talk about in a second. Then you can actually make it a little higher for those cats that sort of miss the top sometimes. Sometimes cats will urinate and it will go over the top. So this shields that a little bit. The litters that you want to use in these kinds of boxes are anything from clay litters to scoopable litters. Clay litters will absorb the urine and you just pick out the feces and then you sort of have to stir the other around to let it dry and add more as you need it. With clumping litter, you can actually get the urine out because it clumps out into litter clumps and it is easier to clean. So there are different litters to use.
