" Hi this is Elise McMahon with expertvillage.com and this video series we are going to talking about flea and tick prevention. If you like to find more about my services you can visit my website canineheadstart.com. So in this clip we are going to be talking about one of the other methods that you can use to control fleas and ticks on your dog and we have talked about topical oral, we talked about collars, the thing I want to talk about right now is flea sprays. So for some people flea spray is going to be the best obtain especially if they feel like there dogs are not really expose on a daily or regular bases and they don't want to use something that is going to be on or with the dog permanently or a month to three months. So if flea and tick spray would come in very handy if you are going to be traveling lets say to a place that has a tick problem or to a place that haves fleas. So this is a example of a flea and tick spray. You can see here it kills the fleas up to 14 days and it kills fleas that might carry Lyme diseases that is usually a fairly big concern. Always you want to read the instructions on the back of the bottle very carefully and remember also that you want to make sure if you are concerned about both fleas and ticks that the stuff that you are buying the product you are buying actually kills fleas and ticks. So this is something that you would spray right on to your dog again you are probably going to want to keep children and your own hands off of the dog until the product drys and if you are going swimming you may actually need to reapply it. But this could be a very good alternative for somebody who is not really has there dog doesn't really have there dog in a position where they are going to be expose to fleas and tick regularly and they want to use something more on a temporal bases. They are going to use it here or they are going to use it there and it does work for 2 weeks in this particular product."
