"Let’s talk about getting your dog in and out of your car. The first thing that you might want to consider is talking to your vet about potential hip issues if your dog is a puppy or if your dog is large or if it is an older dog. The next thing you might want to consider is putting a towel on your car seat so that things will stay nice and clean as you teach your dog to get in and out of the car. Pip car, good girl. Good girl. Good girl. That was a demonstration of Pip jumping into the car after I gave her the car command. I’ll show you now how to do that same thing. Okay, here’s how you can train your dog to actually get into the car using the command. Use a treat and basically move the treat along the path that you want your dog to move. Pip car. Good car. Good girl. Then here is how you get them to come out. It is just reversed. Pip off. Good off. Good girl. "
