" Hi this is Elise McMahon for Expert Village.com and in this short video series we are going to be talking about taking your dog for a walk. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can take a look at my website at www.canineheadstart.com. In this video clip we are going to be talking about having your dog leave something that is on the road. It could be somebody’s old sandwich or a road kill squirrel. We want the dog to walk by something and not grab for it. This will stop your dog from ingesting obnoxious, potential harmful things and also just gives you little bit more control on your walk. We are going to use the leave it command in which we have discussed before in another video and we are going to use Ursa for this. So I will show you how we are going to go about doing it. Let’s go. Go find the cookie. Tai, leave it. Yes, good boy. Good job. So what we are doing here is we are asking the dog to leave an object and as he does it we are rewarding him, so we are giving him something in exchange for not taking that whatever he is interested in.
