"Hi, this is Elise McMahon with Expert Village.com and we are talking in this short video series about taking your dog for a walk. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website at www.canineheadstart.com. So in this video we are going to be talking about what you need to bring with you when you take your dog for a walk. One thing is a dog. Thank you Tai. Next thing you need is you need to have a collar of some sort and in this case we are going to be using a gentle leader. You need to have a leash and here we are using a 6 foot leather leash. Very important you need to bring waste disposal bags, poop bags, and you can have handy dandy little things like this where you can pull them out. You need to attach this directly to your leash or you can buy them individually and just carry them around in your pocket. You also want to bring dog treats with you so when your dog is doing something exceptionally good you can reward them. Have a pocket full of treats and last but not least, especially if you are still in the training mode with your dog, you want to bring a re-enforcer. So we’ve talked in other videos about clickers and you can bring a clicker with you when you are going out for a walk. If your dog is doing something right then you can click and reward. But remember if you don’t have your clicker on you, you can still use the behavioral marker the word yes when you are working with your dog."
