"Hi! This is Beverly for Expert Village. In this clip, we are going to be talking about the advantages of pet sitting and the advantages of boarding. You know your pet and it is up to you to choose the right care for them. You might want to choose a pet sitter if you have a very nervous pet that gets very stressed out when you are gone. Keeping them in their familiar environment with familiar smells, toys and food will help to calm them down. Choose a pet sitter if your pet is reasonably healthy. A pet sitter can handle giving medication to your pet and some special instructions. But since they will just be looking in on your pet a few times a day, one that requires constant supervision may be better suited for boarding. If your pet is prone to illness, it will probably be a good idea to keep them at home and away from other pets that may be sick. Pet sitting gives your pet private and personal attention. If your pet is dog aggressive or nervous around lots of other dogs, a pet sitter is probably the choice for you. Another advantage is that a pet sitter will pick up the care of your pet where you left off. You don't have to worry about finding the time to drop off or pick up your pet at the kennel. If your pet is particularly destructive and you are worried that you pet might rip things apart if they spend too much time in the house alone, you may want to board them. Also if your pet has an illness that requires constant supervision and medication, boarding is the best option. If your pet tends to be very lonely when left alone, it might be best to put them in a boarding facility where they have animals and professionals around them all the time. "
