" Hi, my name is Tracey Tenner and this is Doc. I’m the resident dog trainer and behaviorist here at Extra Care Hospital in Davy, Florida. We are here to talk to you today about how to house train your puppy. It is very important when you are in the course of potty training your puppy that you feed the right amount of food and that you know exactly how much you are feeding every single time and that it doesn’t vary. The best way to figure out the right amount of food is that we want approximately one bowel movement per meal. If your puppy eats two times a day and defecates two or three times a day, then you are fine. But if your puppy eats twice a day and has 3 or 4 or 5 bowel movements per day then we are definitely over feeding our puppy. A puppy who is over fed is going to have excessive stool and an adult dog who is over fed is going to become over weight."
