" Hi! I’m Tracy Tenner with Better Behavior Dog Training here at Extra Care Animal Hospital in Davie, Florida. We’re here on behalf of expertvillage.com and we’re going to be teaching you how to teach your dogs tricks. This is Maggie and we’re going to demonstrate how a dog can shake hands or introduce themselves. We’re going to use a little soft treat that we know the dog likes and can eat very quickly, either a hot dog or something else. I’m going to hold to treat away and extend our hand and say “shake” good girl and give her a treat. Often in teaching the other paw it’s good to use your other hand, shake, good and give her the treat. Also we can demonstrate a high five, high five that a girl, simply by holding your hand a little bit higher high five, high five, good now if we hold the hand a little lower shake, nope, shake good girl we get a shake as oppose to a high five. So there you are with both commands shake and high five. Well we hope that you’ve learned a lot about teaching your dogs tricks today and if you would like any further information you can contact us at www.extracareanimalhospital.vetsuite.com, thank you very much."
