Training A Dog to Roll Over

" Hi! I’m Tracy Tenner with Better Behavior Dog Training here at Extra Care Animal Hospital in Davie, Florida. We’re here on behalf of expertvillage.com and we’re going to be teaching you how to teach your dogs tricks. Alright once again this is Ed and we’re going to demonstrate the roll over command. His mom Sarah is going to be doing the demonstrating and Ed as you’ll see is in the mixed of learning this trick. What Sarah is going to do is ask him lie down and then she’s going to take a treat from his nose towards his shoulder blade encouraging him to turn head towards the shoulder and to continue to roll over. Good boy…now if we can do that one more time with him facing the camera or side ways that might be helpful. So we’re going to ask him to sit and lie down, good sit, now a down and we’re going to turn his head towards his shoulder and ask him to roll over.
