"Maybe you should buy a cat. I joke with customers on this phrase if they call me with any indecision of buying a dog. Buying a dog is a full time commitment from housing, attention and taking general care. Many of my customers call me too late with such incessant problems as digging, barking, nipping and doing circles around their backyard. A dog needs attention from a young age, just like a human being. The attention to and commitment to a dog, I let customers know, is very crucial the first year. Dogs are considered puppies up until three to four years of age and must have strict attention up until that time. Grooming, feeding, walks and taking them outside is vital to the success of your dog growing up calm and well trained."
