Video Transcript

"In the following segment, I will be discussing the basics on, "So You Want to Buy a Dog." First topic I'd like to talk about is your personal lifestyle. As a dog trainer, behavioral trainer, a lot of my customers ask me, "what type of dog should I get?" I always like to find out basics on my customer's lifestyle, such as how often you're home, if you have children, and how often you travel or go on a vacation. I often like to use a humorous comparison of, if you're still in the lifestyle of going to Vegas every other weekend, you should seriously consider getting a cat. A dog is a lot like being married. As far as getting a puppy, they have to go out every hour after naps and after feeding. So I like to give the analogy of where if you're looking to get a dog, you have to make a strong commitment of being there for your pet. "
