How to Train a Dog to Close a Door

"Hi this is Ryan Gwilliam with Expert Village and I am going to teach you how to train your dog to close the door on his way back into the house. It will take a while to train him to do this. You will need to take about five or ten minutes a day for probably about a week. I have him go outside and then I will put his treat down by the door and not let him have it on his way in and then he will have to close the door to get to the treat and that is how I got him to do it and that is how you get him to push his head against this to close it. Close the door like so. Tell him to close the door and then he gets his treat. After he gets this down, now I will be downstairs in the basement and he will come inside. I will have the door open and he will close the door and come down and sit by me on the couch. It is an awesome trick if you want your dog to be able to come in and out and you do not have a doggy door."
