"Grooming is very important for your dog. Not only does it create a bond with you and the animal but it ensures that the dog's coat will be clean from any type of snares, ticks, mites, fleas or any other bugs in the yard. It also reduces shedding and is a good way for the dog to remain calm in a situation where they sometimes become a little irritated. I would recommend when you groom, to groom every inch on your dog's body. Many customer's have dogs where they tell me you can't touch the ears or the feet. This generally I find is because the dog wasn't groomed properly or touched properly as a puppy. So keep that in mind when you groom your dog, it's certainly okay to touch the dog all over to ensure that they won't have any fears of being touched in certain areas as they age. Brushing their teeth, trimming nails and hair within nails as well as regular examination of anal sacs, I would recommend to be done by your local groomer, which you can find information on that on my website, or research within your own community."
