As "man's best friend," we have a welcomed obligation to care for our pals, and every pet owner knows that this can be a full time job. Our dogs lovingly weave their way into our family, and much like a child that encounters the occasional accident, dogs can find their way into trouble as well. With that in mind, it's important to take care of dogs through grooming, veterinarian visits, health, nutrition, exercises, and proper training. When it comes down to it, a healthy and happy dog usually makes for a happy pet owner.

So, what are the basics of taking care of a dog? Whether or not you've had dogs in the past, or if you're thinking about getting your first dog, the tips and lessons from a dog trainer in this free video will help you make sure your dog is receiving good care. You'll learn about what types of food help your dog's nutrition, why all puppies should get vaccinated, and why grooming is so important. "Health and nutrition is very important with your dog. As I stated earlier, you get what you pay for. So do ample research in the type of food that you'll be feeding to your dog. In my opinion, I would recommend a dry food, mixed with a wet food. As well as other nutritional supplements that you can add for your dog. Occasionally changing up your dog's diet is not that bad as long as you integrate the old food with the new food, so you don't shock your dog's diet. Normally I would recommend if you're going to change foods, start by doing 50% old with 50% new. Each two days diminish the old and increase the new until your dog's been transitioned to all new food. Rule of thumb, if you notice that your dog has loose stool the food is not sitting right, or they could be eating too much food. Firm stool generally indicates right amount of food and the combination is correct. So do the research on your dog's food for a longer healthier life and a stronger immune system. "
