"The off command will be used when your dog is uninvited to jump on a guest's thigh or mid section, or if they're uninvited on a couch or bedroom furniture. When I say address the dog, it's similar to tin man, I want them to know that a command is shortly to follow thereafter. You can address your dog with tin man posture or a simple grunt with your voice. Dogs communicate through grunts, barks and growls so if your dog's being stubborn and not giving you attention with the tin man, you certainly can use a corrective tone with a grunt. Later in this segment, or in our topic series I will be discussing in greater detail corrections, sounds that you can use with your voice or body to get the dog's attention, but as far as the off command you want to get their attention from tin man or a grunt with your mouth, to let them know that the follow up off command is following shortly thereafter."
