Video Transcript

"As I mentioned in the "sit" command, I will be teaching you both a visual cue with a verbal for each command you'll be learning in this video segment. As I stressed earlier, the tin man posture gets your dog's attention and will automatically have them focus on what you're looking to deliver. As stated, with the tin man, your dog will learn how to automatically sit, but it's also going to give them a cue for what's coming next. I never want a dog to assume what the next command is until you, the owner/leader, administers the correct command to the dog. With the "leave it" command, I want the tin man to address the dog if I'm approaching either a Taco Bell wrapper or something that has fallen. The tin man will administer the dog looking for me for the next command which will be "leave it" or "don't eat." So you can use the tin man with the "leave it" command as well. Good, sit."
