"Hello! I'm coming to you from Dogma Premier Dog Spa in Wayne, Pennsylvania and today we're going to do some demonstrations on how you can do creative coloring for your pet. We use completely safe nontoxic materials. One technique you will see we will wash off pretty much immediately. The other technique fades over time and it may take up to 6 weeks to wash off completely. One part of grooming that's important that does sometimes get missed when people do it themselves at home is cleaning out the ears. You just want to look in the ears. I've got a little bit of cotton here that is damp with some ear cleaner. I just take it in there and gently swab it out. You don't want to stick your fingers in too deep or too hard. If you see redness or irritation there, take them to your vet. Sometimes with longhaired dogs, they get a lot of hair in there and the hair needs to be pulled out. That can be done quite simply with ear powder and just like finger plucking the hair out."
