Video Transcript

" Hi! My name is Gretchen Brown. I have been teaching conformation training and handling professionally for 20 some odd years. I am coming today on behalf of expertvillage.com to teach you how to train and show your show dog. You also want to grind your dog’s nails or clip them for the show ring. Many people use an electric grinder, some people use clippers and the nail file. Either is correct, you just want to make sure that you get your dog used to it as a young dog, not the day of the show. When you are grinding just touch the dog’s nails every time you grind. Go back and touch again rather than hold the grinder onto the dog’s nail. That becomes painful, just touch, touch, keep touching and you will get the nail back where it belongs. I hope I have been of some help to you this afternoon. You can contact me through the web site commanddogtraining.com. We run classes every Wednesday night and we are based out at Fort Lauderdale. Thank you. "
