" Hi! My name is Gretchen Brown. I have been teaching conformation training and handling professionally for 20 some odd years. I am coming today on behalf of expertvillage.com to teach you how to train and show your show dog. Proper grooming starts long before the day of this show. You need muscle tone from exercise from both road work and from free exercise. You need coat condition, is the coat shiny from proper food. Once you get the dog on the table you would like to brush it, a slicker brush which is this kind removes the dead coat. You want to remove the dead coat out of the dog, on this breed you would comb with the direction of the coat and some dogs you comb against not this breed. You can also use a bore bristle brush to brush the coat out. Teach your young puppies to stand quietly while they are being brushed. This will help in the presentation of your show dog. I hope I have been of some help to you this afternoon. You can contact me through the web site commanddogtraining.com. We run classes every Wednesday night and we are based out at Fort Lauderdale. Thank you. "
