"Hi, I'm Jim Leske with Expert Village, Animal Trainer and Behaviorist. Today we're talking about canine good citizen for dogs that are aspiring to be therapy or service dogs. One of the other quizzes on the test is getting your dog to accept friendly strangers in a petting, sitting, sitting politely position. So in other words, once we get done with the test sitting politely for strangers, sitting politely for petting, now we can get used to strangers walking up. And the way we did that is, inevitably, you have people coming up wanting to pet her, they want to talk to you and getting strangers and shake their hands. This is just an extension of the previous one and adds another dynamic to it. Many dogs feel threatened or intimidated when somebody reaches out an arm to them and in a hospital situation that happens quite frequently. So you definitely want a calm dog when all this craziness is going on. So I'm Jim, this is Tess and we'll see you in our next video."
