Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Gretchen Brown. I have been teaching conformation training and handling professionally for 20 some odd years. I am coming to teach you how to train and show your show dog. First gait that you are going to teach your dog is the triangle. Generally you will go away from the judge, then you will go across the top end of the ring and come back down on the diagonal. If you are working a green dog do not try and run it too fast. You have to teach the dog where it is supposed to go first before you get to the correct speed. When you come back to the judge that is where you will make your dog to show expression. Triangle will look something like this, very easy. If the dog does not stand when you come back stand it then reward it. I hope I have been of some help to you this afternoon. You can contact me through the website commanddogtraining.com. We run classes every Wednesday night and we are based out at Fort Lauderdale. Thank you."
