"Hi, I'm Terri Turco with Expert Village and we're making the best banana bread ever. And you're going to be making it too. Now what we're going to do is we're going to add the nuts. Now, when I'm adding walnuts, you can buy whole walnuts and just crack them open, you can get walnuts that are already pretty small, or you can grind them. Okay, and obviously this is your basic nut grinder. You know, you put the nuts in on the top, grind away, you've got ground nuts. No rocket science going on there. But what I like to do, you know if you have whole walnuts, I don't need a grinder. I just kind of break them up with my hands. And the reason being is that when you're eating banana bread you don't want like a great big chunk of walnut in your mouth, you know. You want it subtle flavor. You like a little bit of nuttiness. Or, you don't have to add nuts at all. But, the small walnuts really can be broken down into little, you know, just really small little bit size pieces. That just takes a couple of seconds to break them down and put them in. Now if you're a person that wants your banana bread to have pecans in it, I highly recommend grinding pecans. Pecans are a little harder to break up and when they're ground they add a very, very subtle flavor. So I've always made banana bread either with walnuts or pecans. But today we're doing walnuts. Alrighty? So as you see, you just break those up. And these came in a, you know, the smaller bag. They weren't full walnuts. So they're smaller to start with. Then, of course you just mix those in. And after you look at your mixture it should look a little bit watery. It's not a stiff mixture because we're making banana bread. Alrighty? Then what I like to do, I had put cinnamon in this batch before. But I'd like it a little bit darker as far as the color and I'd like a little bit more of a cinnamon flavor. So I've just added about another quarter teaspoon of cinnamon and you'll see it just gives the texture and the color a nice honey tone. Now when we come back, we're going to prep the pans. And there's a little secret to the pans to making this banana bread and I can’t take credit for it. It was that charming retired officer from the army that did, that was making this bread to go to the Gulf War. So, let me share that with you when you come back, okay?"
