Okay us a corrective jerk to get a dog to refrain from picking things up in his mouth to save his life one day apart from using it to have him focus on you when you want to have him obey a command when he is not focusing on you. For example if he goes toward something that you don't want him to go to towards or put in his mouth, you say no. Okay as he moves away you say, good boy and you redirect him to the right thing and this is where he avoids the negative stuff and he gets the good stuff. If you want to let it go, you say out, thank you. It is always yours. Remember you can take it, give it to him or whatever you want. Okay Buddy watch this. You can have it now. Go ahead. Good boy. "
