Okay there are different ways to motivate a dog. You can use food training, food reward training and also with a leash and collar is another to motivate your dog and with just your praise. Communicating to them that you are happy with them. For example, Deno come. Sit. Good sit. Say good sit when you give them the food. Down. Ah, good down. Good boy. Sit. Good sit and okay Deno come. Good come. Good boy. Just with your praise. They love this. Some dogs catch on to other types of motivation, more than just praise. Some like praise more than food. A toy is another way to motivate a dog. Some type of a favorite toy, a ball or rag. So you just got to make sure it is rewarding and you start figuring out what motivates him better and you start using that. "
