Video Transcript

"There are two types of tunnel obstacles on the agility course. One is the open tunnel, which you see here. And the other is the closed chute, which will be present on another segment. This is an obstacle that can be done by puppies, adults. It doesn't matter what age because it’s on the ground. So it’s something you can start early and have fun with while the puppies are still developing. So when we are starting with the tunnel, what I like to do when I'm working on my own, is to have the tunnel as close as possible. Bring the dog up. "Good, Down. Good". And I want them down with their feet inside the tunnel. That just gets them used to touching it, to being on that kind of fabric. And being able to see ahead to the opening. The next thing I'll do is feed the leash through. Get down low; “Come, Tunnel, Good tunnel! Good" And encourage them to come through the tunnel to me."
