"I am Charlie McCanna, and on behalf of Expert Village.com and I am here to speak to you today little bit about retriever training. I brought my buddy Heidi along with me. Heidi is a master hunter but I think she will do to show you some of the things that we need to tell you about basic retriever training as well. But right now I just want to talk to you about training sessions. Training sessions are necessary to do every day if possible, twice a day if you can, but that is not always possible with most people’s schedules; and most people have to go to work in the morning and get home in the evening, and sometimes it is already dark. But if you can give your dog 5-10 minutes of time a day they will thrive and they will learn quite a bit. The puppy problem is that their attention span is extremely short, and so you need to keep it short and interesting and fun. Lots of play and along with their work will go a long way, but the main thing is to keep it short and sweet and keep them excited. Thank you."
