"Hey, up here. We're going to be doing a sit on approach. The nice part about this exercise is that if someone comes up to say hi to your dog, she's going to sit politely for petting. This can keep it where you have good friends that will come up and pet your dog, and you don't accidentally scratch them, or ruin your clothes that you may be wearing; when you don't want a dog to jump. Sadie... So, to do this all I'm going to do is again, I'm using my lure as a treat, and I'm going to get here attention, hopefully. And as I approach her, she's going to sit. When you approach a dog like this it's called a pressure sit. Because I walk away; I walk to her; and that's what we don't want to happen, and she sits. At that time I'll pet her underneath her chin, rather than up on top of her head, which will get her to jump again. So again, you're going to just step into your dog, and you're going to use your treat to lure him to the ground. And that's how you do a sit on approach."
