"Once the dog is clear that heel means sit and look up at you in this position, you're going to encourage your dog to move with you, staying in that position. Think of it as a little dot under their front feet, which is where their front feet always need to be. It moves with you, it stops with you. So as I step forward, I'll just take one step. Heel. Good. And as the dog sits, gets a reward, good. Again, heel. Good. Good. Heel. And I am keeping a treat or a toy where its almost teasing them so that they keep their nose pointed toward my face and learn to do this with their head in that position."
