"So I'm going to go forward with the brush being careful not to pull his hair. Go forward with the brush, again also being careful not to hit the brush against the sensitive nose. But I want to make sure that the hair is unmatted to the length of the muzzle. Particularly important with dogs that chew on things that's going to gunk up their hair and almost anything can gunk up the hair. You can see here there's some undercoat that wants to come out, there's some loose lighter colored undercoat that wants to come out there, I'm going to get it out with the brush. Clean out some eye gunk and I can brush that out right out of there. Then you can go over the hair and the eye brawls. Some dogs will have very, very long hair here, you can see this guy has quiet long hair, brushing it back from the face being very careful with the brush around the eyes. If you hurt your dog while you're brushing him, he's not going to have a lot of confidence to lie here and be cooperative with you, but you need to get all that stuff out of here so you can finish off. Remember while you're doing it always hold the hair so you're not pulling it. That's how we go about grooming the head of the dog."
