"Hi this is Elise McMahon for Expert Village.com and in this video series we are talking about canine dental care. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website at www.canineheadstart.com. So we have talked about a number of topics here relating to canine dental care. Now we are going to talk right now about toothpaste. Believe it or not there is toothpaste for dogs. You probably don’t want to use toothpaste that is made for humans. It is typically a peppermint flavor and something might be a little bit strong and aversive for dogs so when you are going to be brushing your dog’s teeth you actually want to go to a pet store and get something that is made for dogs. This one here is beef flavored. Okay. Let’s see what the puppy thinks of it. It is beef flavored toothpaste. So I am going to see a little bit more. It is brown and looks like consistency of toothpaste. Let’s see if this puppy likes this toothpaste. You missed; it’s right on my finger. You like that? Uhm, not bad. Okay, you can have your stick back. It is definitely important that you get a flavor. If you are going to be putting on your dog’s mouth you definitely want to get something that your dog is going to find aversive because they might not like the process too much to begin with any way so you don’t want to make it worse than it already is. This is another one. This is natural toothpaste for dogs so if you want to get all natural toothpaste you can get something like this. And this is a green one. Let see if she likes this one? Looks like she might like it. Uhm, not bad. All right. This next one we will move on to actually brushing the dog’s teeth. "
