"Hi this is Elise McMahon for Expert Village.com and in this video series we are going to be talking about how to care for your dog’s teeth. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website at www.canineheadstart.com. So to begin with in this first video clip, we are going to be talking about puppy teeth and I’ve got a puppy right here and hopefully she will cooperate so I can show you her puppy teeth. Puppies are born with no teeth and at a certain age the teeth erupt through the gums and that is usually right around when the mom wants to stop nursing them and they have to begin with just little teeny sharp teeth, like little needles. Anyone who has had a puppy has felt that scratches on their hands and then those teeth changing to adult teeth. We’ve got a 4 ½ month old puppy here and her teeth are in the process of changing. Let’s see if we can show you some of this. You can put your foot down kiddo. So she’s got her changing into her adult teeth here. You can see they are not little needles. They are quite white and they are quite clean. You can see in the back here that they are very little in the back. They are growing in. She still has a lot of growth to do here on her canines. Good girl. What we are going to talk about in the next video clip is the adult teeth. So you can see we got these nice clean and white teeth is what we like the dog’s teeth to look like their whole life. Of course this is a puppy. We are going to take a look at adult teeth and talk about how to care for those teeth. "
