on 8/2/2008 Hi Yesenna, thanks for the recipe. I have been a bit scared trying to do it because I didn't really know how, but after seeing your video I will defenitely try it. thanks a lot. Oh, just one question? what do you do with the chicken broth? I was thinking that you were going to maybe use it for the Maza but I saw that you added water.

"Hi! My name is Yessenia and I'm here with my mother Sanjuana. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to show you how to make authentic Mexican tamales. The chicken is cooked in the pot like this until it boils. You need to put it in. Depending on how much chicken you're using, you need to boil it. Do you boil it like an hour or hour and a half? Yes, but the sign is that it's falling off the bone. You wait until the chicken and skin is actually falling off of the bone to tell you that it's ready. Now, you do want to add some salt and some garlic. With that, it'll be sufficient to season it at that time. One of the things that you can also do is there are also tamales that can be made with beef or with pork. Feel free to do the same process. You can buy the beef, boil it, and the same thing for the pork. Use your pot to boil it until the skin is coming off, the bone is coming off, and that will be your sign that the meat is soft enough to be used for the tamale. Always put enough salt and garlic to your likings."
