Remove Bananas from Fryer for Bananas Foster

"Hi, I'm chef Rainer Wickel I'm here today with expertvillage.com. Well we had our bananas frying in our frying pan for about 2 minutes now remember we need to fry these about a minute on each side. All we want to do is slightly fry them. But the important thing is that we have spooned the mixture over the bananas because we want them to have that nice sugary glaze. Now the important thing once again is you want to make sure that the heat is not up too high on this other wise it's going to burn. You just want to lightly fry these but what we want to do on this step is we want to actually take the bananas out, so as you can see right now these bananas are pretty well cooked. We've actually doughed out all the juice over the top of it so they're nicely glazed with the sugar. Now when we add the rum we don't want the bananas in the dish. Sometimes you do leave the bananas in but for our purpose is normally you take the bananas out before you actually put the rum in there to actually set it on fire. So go ahead and take your bananas and we're going to put them onto the serving dish we're actually going to be serving them. So just go ahead and pull them out and as you can see they're nicely covered in the glaze which is exactly what we want to do and make sure that you just get the bananas, you want to go ahead and leave that sugar glaze in there because now we're going to be making the final sauce. So go ahead and take them out and you want to make sure that once again it's not too hot, because the important thing is that we don't want to burn this. So now we just need to let this sit we got the bananas out of there and we're going to go onto the next step which is actually adding the rum and this is how we take our bananas out and put them on the serving dish before we make our final sauce."
