"Hi! This is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make fettuccine with pesto sauce. Hey we're back. Let me just show you. This I bought it. It was about 2.5 ounces of leaves. You can see it's about 2 cups, and that's what you need, 2 1/2 cups of fresh basil. I'm just going to come and give it a quick rinse under some cold water in my colander. Give it a quick rinse; let it set for a second. Alright, so you just let it rinse out. Actually, you can put a little paper towel in there to get the drainage and just put it on the side. At this point, I get my tomatoes, my beautiful tomatoes. Some people will use tomatoes and some people won't. My mother used to use tomatoes in there because she said it would loosen the sauce up, the pesto, because it doesn't get too thick and it'll give it a little something. You can add water too to loosen it up. My mom always used tomatoes. I'm just going to give my tomatoes a wash. I'm going to give them a quick wash in the sink. Give them a quick wash. Get a little paper towel for this. When I come back, we're going to cut these up, throw them in our blender, get it ready, and put our basil in the blender. It is fettuccine baby, and it's going to be awesome because it's got fresh pesto."
