"A penalty in ice hockey is punishment for inappropriate behavior. When a player's given a penalty, most of the time they are placed in the penalty box, which is located in the rink. And they are there for a set number of minutes. It could be two, it could be four, five, ten minutes, depending the severity of the penalty. Different kinds of penalties minor, major, misconduct, game misconduct, match, penalty shot. Can all result into giving your team an advantage. When you are given a penalty you are, you leave your team short handed and you're basically, you'll have one or maybe even more less players than the other team for that duration. The other team has a power play so they have more an advantage. So it's important that you don't get any penalties. Now we're going to show you some different basic penalties."
