"Hi, this is J.P. Furnari with Expert Village. In this clip, we'll talk about proper body position. Proper skydiving body position includes an arch for stability. Arms and legs at equal distances for stability and control purposes. To help achieve good, neutral body position in the sky, an instructor may give hand signals. Some of the most common hand signals used for body position are "arch" or "hips down". "Legs out". When giving "legs out", you do it nice and slow, just a little at a time. "Legs in". Again, nice and slow, just a little bit at a time. This hand signal is crucial to good body position. It means "relax"."
