"Hi, this is J.P. Furnari with Expert Village. In this clip we'll talk about other types of skydiving gear and how to use it. Other equipment you will need for your skydive include a helmet. The helmet is designed to protect your head both from bumping it on the airplane and being struck by another person in freefall and in the event that you do tumble on landing. Altimeters, of course, are needed to determine your altitude so that you know when to activate your parachute. Goggles will be needed to preserve your vision from the high speed air. And jumpsuits are recommended both to protect your body on landing and to control your fall rate. Different size jumpsuits for different sized people to help stabilize their fall rates and assist them controlling their body through the air. Closed-toed shoes, usually tennis shoes, running shoes, cross-training shoes are advisable for skydiving. Boots are not recommended, nor are any open-toed shoes or sandals."
