"I've already talked about doing fakies a good bit and I've already demonstrated it on quarter pipes but now I want to really get into the specifics of doing it on a quarter pipe versus doing it on a number of other different types of ramps. The big relevant difference here is that because the quarter pipe gradually gets steeper, you've can actually generate a whole lot of backwards momentum very quickly and so it is important to remember that you may come out backwards a little faster than you may feel comfortable with. So basically you want to take it back those first steps we talked about already and make sure to back off your handle bars and stay centered over your feet and keep a nice even cadence going; I'll demonstrate. You come up, stay centered back over the bike and keep nice centered, nice even cadence and keep in mind that as you come out of a quarter pipe backwards you are naturally going to gain a lot more speed than you would if you were to do it on a flat wedge ramp. Just keep that in mind when you are doing it, stay relaxed and be prepared for it. Because really you are not going to go that fast and you can also kind of slow down your cadence a little bit and slow yourself down. So the main thing is just keep in mind that you are going against speed and ultimately that is one of the best ways that you can get control of your high speed fakies."
