"Quarter pipes come in all different sizes. Sometimes you get tall ones, short one, steep ones, ones that aren't so steep but basically once you figure out how to ride one, you can apply those skills and figure out how to ride them all. They are really fun and offer a whole new range of tricks that you can do and no two are really the same. So every time you go to a new skate park it is always an experience trying to learn how to ride the new ones. The basic tips that sort of apply to everything with quarter pipes are pretty much like anything in pre-style BMX are that you want to stay loose, you want to make sure you are looking where you should be and a quarter pipe generally is right about where you want to be landing. Just keep in mind that there is really not a whole lot within reason that is going to go wrong so just make sure to stay confident and keep your bike under you at all times. Right now we are going to go and cover a couple of the basic skills that are more or less necessary that anytime you are going to ride a skate park because they really pretty much apply to any skate park that you are going to ride. These skills include dropping in, doing fly outs, doing fakies on quarter pipes, doing carbs, just basic stuff but it really should get you on the right start for learning how to ride skate parks."
