"The orbit is a move in which the kayaker comes into a blast and does a stern squirt in the hole. What we're going to do for this is start on top of the foam pile, charge down the foam pile up into the green water. When I hit the green water, I'm going to start raising my bow up, initiate a stern squirt. I'm going to drop my paddle deep in the water, push outwards and back on it, rotate the bow upwards, have it hit the foam pile, and the quickly snap it back again so that I can either land in a cartwheel or back in a front surf. It's a very fast move that happens with some speed and some fast rotation, but essentially doing a nice stern squirt in the hole. Remember to look in the direction of your turn, always leading your boat around with your eyes. The deeper you get your paddle blade in the water, the easier the move is to control."
