"There are whole slues of different entry moves out there. An entry move is when you're coming down the rapid, you're going to see a hole out in front of you and you want to hit that hole with a lot of speed and do a trick on your way into the feature. Then try and land in the hole or the wave, and keep on surfing. The most basic of which is the wing-over. When I do the wing-over, what I'm going to do is paddle down in that hole, lift my nose up onto the foam pile, and essentially do a back deck roll. To get the most air out of this, I'm going to take a nice forward stroke raising my bow up and onto that foam pile. I'm going to actually flip up to my upstream side, reaching across as I go, looking at the stern edge, and hip snapping the boat up and over my head. The key is coming in with a lot of speed and trying to raise your bow up so it smacks the foam pile and you can rotate and get a lot of air, and it'll land on the feature and keep on surfing."
