"The two-stroke spin is a very strong spinning turn that can be done in a hole or on a wave. What I'm going to do is take a very strong reverse stroke, which is also a bow pivot to sink my bow into the water, which raises my stern up, keeps my stern end from catching. Once I get backwards, I'm going to drop my paddle in at m hip, look to the new direction and raise my next upstream edge to keep my boat edge up in the water. One more look at that on the dry shore here. I start with an aggressive reverse sweep to really sink the bow end in. Drop in at the hip and then I'm going to pull the bow into the air so that the bow end also doesn't catch the water. Whichever end's front me, I wan to keep that end raised up, but which ever ends behind me is digging into the water, so when I pivot and spin, I need to then raise that end into the air to keep the spin coming around."
