"Okay the high angle blast is very similar to the low angle blast. The big difference between the two is that I will turn my boat more at an angle and instead of taking a reversed stroke to pull the bow up, I can take a forward stroke on the downstream side, look to the top of the current and lift my bow up and on to the green water. Once I am on the green water, I will lean back a little bit and try to control the bow keeping the bow right on top of the wave. The high angle blast; what makes it high angle is the steepness of the water coming into the hole. So this blast is used in really steep holes and you can still carve around a bit and use this as a way to get out of sticky hole to create some acceleration to the side of the hole. "
