"Hey guys! This is Danny Logan and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk about indoor rock climbing. Okay, in this scene I want to explain another major factor in indoor climbing; it's called bouldering. Bouldering is a type of climbing that uses very short, technical, high endurance climbing. Every climb, like top roping or leading, has a crux. A crux is the most difficult part of that climb. Bouldering is like a whole bunch of cruxes. You only climb maybe ten feet, maybe eleven and that's it and you are using very small technical moves. So, you can practice on the hardest moves and fall onto a padded mattress and not get hurt and you are okay. That's how we practice the cruxes; they are the hardest part. So bouldering takes a lot of endurance, a lot of strength and technique. That's how we train during the off-seasons. We boulder and go do indoor climbing while we can't do this outside. "
