"Hey guys! This is Danny Logan and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk about indoor rock climbing. Okay, in this scene, I'll be explaining lead climbing and how to take a fall properly while you are lead climbing and how the belayer is going to catch you while lead climbing. So, as you take a look up here, I'm climbing and I'm just about to fall. So, as I fall, I keep my hands and my feet out, ready to catch the falling into the wall and I use my legs as springs to avoid the shock. So I'm okay, it doesn't hurt; it's natural and it's not forcefully hurting my body. Now, as the belayer, as he catches my fall, he's watching me while I am climbing, taking up the slack. And right as I fall, he puts his hand into locking position and braces for the fall. At times, he may jump to try to absorb the fall so that it's not so harmful on the rope, your gear, your harness and your body. So, he also takes part of the fall and absorbs it so that both of us can climb safely again. "
