"Hey guys! This is Danny Logan and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk about indoor rock climbing. Okay, in this scene, I'm going to be explaining how a belayer (which is I) am going to catch a fall. So I place my hand like this. As he's climbing, he's progressing, my hand never leaves this rope. He's going up and see he immediately falls right now, my hand goes immediately down into locking position and he's not going to go anywhere. He's locked; he's safe. And if he wants to go down, I just release my hand and the rope goes down. Notice how I'm specifically doing it where this hand is never off the rope. That's the most important part. Okay, so over here, you'll see me climbing and as I fall, you'll be able to see how I fall and I just keep my body open to catch the recoil as I go back into the wall. My hands and my feet are used as strengths. Then, over here as you see the belayer, he's catching me. You can see how his hand is going immediately into the lock off motion on the carabiner. So, that's how he catches me. "
